Child's Play

This #GivingTuesday, help LTSC’s Angelina Preschool* raise $3,000 so we can restock our three classroom play areas. New make-believe props, water and sand tables, and new sports equipment will help our preschoolers learn and get ready for kindergarten.

More than 1,000 preschoolers have graduated from Angelina Preschool over the years and our play areas are showing their age. New toys will refresh and revitalize playtime.

Help up raise $3,000 so Juan can cook up some new breakfast treats in the kitchen!

*Angelina Preschool is free for low-income families and is located in Echo Park.

LTSC’s Post-Election Statement

LTSC’s Board of Directors and Executive Management team are committed to continuing to serve those in need and standing up for our communities. At a post-election community forum held in Little Tokyo on Sunday, November 13, Executive Director Dean Matsubayashi made the following statement:

Angele
Connect Dream Los Angeles, by Sandra Low

An Angel for LTSC

California Community Foundation presented the “We Are Los Angeles” public art exhibit this month to celebrate its 100 years of service to Los Angeles County. CCF commissioned artists to create art that explores the issues facing our region. These angel sculptures represent the collective diversity and strength of Los Angeles.

LTSC would like to thank CCF Board Member Meloni Hallock for generously sponsoring an angel and donating it to us. We are very happy to have this angel watch over us.

JPMorgan Chase

JPMorgan Chase

LTSC recently received a grant from JPMorgan Chase & Co. that will support LTSC’s Affordable Housing Collaborative.

LTSC’s Affordable Housing Collaborative works with other community organizations to help them build affordable housing in their neighborhoods for their residents. The Collaborative has a strong track record and has partnered with over 15 community-based organizations to build 950 units of affordable housing.

The Collaborative is currently working on 7 projects that will create 600 units of affordable rental housing in several Los Angeles neighborhoods.

LTSC wishes to thank JPMorgan Chase for its continuing support of our efforts to build affordable housing throughout Los Angeles.

Thank you to all the volunteers who make Little Tokyo sparkle!

Hosted by former Visual Communications board member and current LTSC board member Alan Nishio (other guest hosts to be announced), the screening will include interactive voiceover/commentary and related “memory” activities.
