Giving Tuesday
#GivingTuesday Underway for After-School Program

Our #GivingTuesday campaign is now in full swing! A recent article in Psychology Today cites a direct correlation between free play in children and psychological well-being as adults. This is why our After-School program is so important.
Our goal is $3,000! This will help us upgrade our classroom with enough furniture to accommodate for the increase in kids, sports equipment like new basketball nets and properly inflated soccer balls, board games, and art supplies such as a new camera and paint brushes. There is still time to give.

Daimaru Hotel
Shout out! Bank of the West

LTSC’s grant from Bank of the West will support our long-term strategy to strengthen the Little Tokyo district through historic and cultural neighborhood preservation, including preserving affordable housing. Recently, LTSC has acquired the Daimaru Hotel, a historic SRO hotel built in 1905. The building has 48 rooms and 3 commercial spaces. With support from Bank of the West LTSC will be able to conduct needed repairs to the hotel.  LTSC's long-term goal is to upgrade the three commercial spaces and renovate the hotel into twenty-four apartments with private bathrooms and kitchens facilities while maintaining its historic integrity.
LTSC would like to thank Bank of the West for its belief in our cultural and historic preservation work in Little Tokyo.
